club désirer is traveling in search of democratic beauty. Our first stop will be Seoul, Southkorea and we are curious what we will find!

We have been invited by Grace Rim to take part in Pink Art Fair 2014, taking place in the Intercontinental Seoul Coex Hotel on the 9th floor.
The Intercontinental Seoul Coex is situated in Gangnam and opposite the Bongeunsa Tempel, founded in 794 AC.
Our hotel room was our fair booth at the same time. The fair started friday 28th of february 6-9pm and opened saturday and sunday 11am-8pm.
We were invited to the fair with our Transitory Museum of Pfyn and brought the work of five other artists friends: Mark Staff Brandl, Trogen; collectif indigène (Andreanne Oberson & Jean-Marie Reynier), Mont sur Rolles
Rahel Müller, Pfyn; Meszmer Müller, Pfyn
and Stefano W. Pasquini, Bologna.
Within the three days of the fair, we had more than 3’500 visitors and had been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the audience.
We brought our new project club désirer and asked the audience to tell us, what democracy is.
Our visitors could write their ideas down or draw, paint, scribble them on postcards. Some brave ones did give us short statements on video. In return they could choose postcards from Pfyn.
We had one day left to experience the city of Seoul and went to the Dongdaemun-gu area in Seoul an area that is know for the different markets. We had been fascinated by this area and for sure, we will come back and stroll through it some more!
We’ve been fascinated by the food signs as well…
…the street kitchens….
…this for example is all made of sugar…
…Kimchi – the south Korean national speciality.
Our stay was far too short in Southkorea and we will come back to see more of it!
